Love brings joy to life, warmth to the soul and radiance to the heart. Is not Love the great pursuit of existence?
Love tells us that two people come together to create something infinitely more beautiful than they would otherwise achieve individually. In this Love, two people enhance each other’s experience, receiving each other with outstretched arms, blending together to shine as a beacon for the world. Love created from this standpoint is ongoing, ever-progressing.
Like the universe, Love is constantly expanding. It is an infinite expression of the care and affection we have for one another – the only “known” we have that breaks the limitations of both time and space.
“Love defies time, outliving both its source and its object. Love is faster than light, for light requires time in order to travel through space; but Love reaches it’s object instantaneously. Love journeys forever, into infinity.” – Dr. Larry Fleinhardt
Love brings light to darkness, joy to sorrow, and peace to pain. If true, Love can never be lost. This Love shares its power with the universe throughout eternity.
The great adversary to Love is fear: Fear of lack of Love, fear of losing Love, fear of being incomplete without Love. Although sentimental, “You complete me” has a major flaw. If someone makes you complete, what then happens when they are no longer in your life? Is Love really lost?
Be confident in the presence of Love in your own being. Then when you come together with another, the Love that is within can be shared to enrich the experience. And if the relationship wanes, the Love you both gained is always with you…to hold in memories of the past and to carry into the joys of the future. To know and be Love is completion.
Love does not demand you agree on every topic. It does not require that you have the same viewpoints on religion, politics or social issues. Love’s only demand is that you be Love.
Don’t be afraid if the journey takes longer than expected.
“It might take a year, it might take a day, but what’s meant to be will always find its way.” – Paul Coelho
The most unselfish and vulnerable position we take in life is Love. Looking out from the cliffs of uncertainty, heart in hand, contemplating the plunge ahead, we wonder, “What will become of us in these next moments?”
Make that leap with faith, knowing that you will be made stronger in Love no matter what the outcome.
Take a chance, make the plunge and discover the great adventure of Love.
