I have 8 of them; sisters that is.  Growing up as one of the youngest in this group can best be described as a beautiful mess.  The arguments were frequent and classic; over clothes, the car, the curling iron, friends and boys.  My sisters were bossy and opinionated, kind and generous and always when the chips were down, loyal and true.  My sisters have taught me many things over the years, the foremost being that One can’t love well – neither in the giving or receiving without four essential ingredients: honesty, vulnerability, forgiveness and laughter.  They have taught me to see that humor and joy is always present even in the midst of struggle.  They have taught me that shared experiences forge deep bonds and they have taught me that whether convenient or not, when needed you show up for each other; you listen up and you support.  These sisters taught me the beauty and the mess of real love and because of them, along the way I have chosen more sisters. Women with whom my life has intersected, Women who understand the four essentials.  Women who are bossy and opinionated, kind and generous and always when the chips are down, loyal and true.
